Beck Drive Rasmussen is will offer benefits the local Rasmussen community and wider Townsville region. The development presents an opportunity to enhance an established community, maximise infrastructure efficiency, integrate and improve natural features, as well as stimulate investment.

Flooding Benefits to Local Residents
One of the biggest benefits of the development is that around 70 neighbouring residents of the development in the local area will enjoy reduced flood impacts of up to a third of a metre (0.56M) in major storm events and reduced impacts during smaller flood events.
The reduction of flooding levels has been confirmed in reports by Council consultants AECOM and Wingate Properties’ contractor UDP, which show the benefits of a cutting-edge storm water detention basin that we will construct to the west of the Bohle River (Lot 27).
Council has been positive about the benefits of our development, but it’s important that local residents like you understand our project and help us build strong local support.

Infrastructure Connections
Minimal additions are required to achieve the required infrastructure to service the Beck Drive community. This means the cost to rate payers is minimal.
Strong Community
The potential for a 3,000-strong community in the Beck Drive would have a real and positive impact on the retail offerings and services in Rasmussen.
